This month I’m delighted to share with you all our latest success, namely, applying AI tools to the development of new training material and revamping our website. I believe this is a fantastic example of how we, as a technology creator company, should be leveraging the latest technologies to improve our services and solutions.

Here’s how we did it.

We subscribed to a Learning Management System called Moodle, in which we built a complete set of training modules for Wrench SmartProject along with an index of the training sequence, after which we prepared the video for each module. We used AI to transcript each video and edited the video transcripts to ensure a natural voice modulation (ie addition of commas and periods) and then we passed the original video to another AI tool to parse through and create questions for the evaluation. All these outputs were then imported into Moodle to generate the Admin training for Wrench EDMS. Finally, we created modules for the various user roles like designer, checker, approver, project manager, planner etc.

And we did all this in a couple of weeks! That’s the power of AI.

So why am I sharing this with you?

I’m hoping it will demonstrate how work effi­ciency can be drastically improved by combining AI with the tasks you carry out. In fact, I see this as the beginning of a new way of working.

To that end, we have initiated a program to identify the manual and repetitive activities within each department at Wrench and find ways to automate them.
